Steele-Waseca implementing time-of-use rate May 1

Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric will be implementing the electric vehicle time-of-use (TOU) rate Wednesday, May 1.

• Charging done during the “off peak” hours from 9 p.m.-4 p.m., will be $0.085/kWh.
• Charging done during the “on peak” hours of 4 p.m.-9 p.m., will be $0.26/kWh.
• The service charge will remain the same at $3.50/month. The current wholesale market adjustment is $0.01323/kWh, plus applicable sales tax.

Steele-Waseca will be out to replace the EV meter prior to May 1.
