Scholarship Opportunities

Each year Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric (SWCE) embraces the cooperative spirit of giving and works with local area high schools to award scholarships to deserving high school seniors. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded at each participating school. Each participating school selects their recipient based on the individual school’s eligibility requirements, and SWCE’s requirements that the applicant must be a dependent of a SWCE member, and must be continuing their education full time at a two- or four-year technical school or college. A major part of the funds to support these scholarships are derived from unclaimed capital credit equity. Eligible high school seniors should contact their high school guidance counselor or scholarship administrator for more details.
