SWCE Field Services
Welcome to SWCE’s Field Services virtual resources. Please take the time to browse around. In the continual effort to communicate with our cooperative membership more efficiently SWCE has included many new resources available online covering areas from energy efficiency rebates to renewable systems and outage information.
Planning for New Projects
The new construction season is right around the corner. If you are planning on upgrading your electrical equipment or adding a new electrical service this year, be sure to communicate your plans to SWCE. In some cases, SWCE may need to order the transformer which can take up to 16 weeks.
Keep in mind SWCE requires new and upgraded services to have a disconnecting means located by the meter socket. All 200 amp services and smaller are required to have a 200 amp bypass meter socket. Also, with the exception of some housing developments in Medford and Lonsdale, SWCE does not allow the main meter to be installed on buildings.
More information on adding a new electrical service or updating an existing service can be found under the Builders & Electricians link.
