April 12 storm damage

Straight-line winds on Tuesday, April 12, resulted in approximately 1,200 outages in Steele-Waseca’s service territory restored by line technicians due to damaged poles, lines, and trees falling on lines. The pictured storm damage was two miles south of Cannon Lake near Faribault. Complicating the response was the co-op’s outage management system was not properly operating, which prevented members from reporting or obtaining outage information from the co-op’s website.
