Steele-Waseca utilizes Great River Energy contribution to benefit six community organizations

Steele-Waseca Cooperative Electric’s wholesale energy provider, Great River Energy (GRE), has increased their annual contribution to member-owner cooperatives to donate to organizations benefiting communities within their respective service territory.

As a result, Steele-Waseca selected six community group recipients to each receive an equal contribution. The recipients included: Ellendale Fire Department, Medford Fire Relief Association, Community Pathways of Steele County, Inc., Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center and Food Shelf, Dodge County Food Shelf, and Community Action Center of Northfield and Faribault.

GRE appreciated Steele-Waseca’s assessment of where the communities’ needs were greatest and could help make the biggest impact.
